Your marketing stops depending on you personally
Fragmented campaigns, scattered outreach, and manual follow-up get replaced with organized systems that work whether you're in the room or not.
Leads get captured. Customers don't slip away
A missed call before a competitor picks up, a review nobody thought to ask for, a follow-up that never happened. Those gaps close when the right infrastructure is in place.
You stop wondering what you're missing
Not knowing how much is slipping through the cracks is its own kind of stress. A focused engagement gets specific about what's actually broken and builds a roadmap you or your team can run with, plus the support to carry it out.
Clarity, heart, and a commitment to what actually works
“Your positive spirit, creative approach to problem-solving, and unwavering commitment to data-driven decision making have made such a meaningful impact. You've brought clarity, heart, and innovation to every challenge.”Susannah
“Your partnership over the years to ensure appropriate messaging and development of new, more standard processes has been beyond helpful. Your work here has made a difference.”Andrea
“Thank you, Jenn, for your collaboration and steadfast focus on the patient experience. Your work to lead our campaigns, direct member communication, and willingness to assess overall member impact with heart and creativity are greatly appreciated.”Lindsay
You're good at what you do. The business just wasn't built to grow without you in the middle of everything.
You're running a business or a nonprofit, and it's real: revenue's coming in, the work is solid, and you're still the one selling, scheduling, following up, and handling a lot of the marketing yourself.
The business works because you make it work. Which means it's also capped at what you can personally hold together. A call goes unanswered. A review never gets requested. A lead goes cold because nobody had a system to catch it. Not because you don't care, but because there are only so many hours and you're already in all of them.
What you need isn't more hustle. It's a way to build the infrastructure that lets the business run with more consistency, capture more of what it's already earning, and grow without requiring more of you personally.
- A clear picture of what's actually broken and what to fix first
- Marketing and operations that don't depend on you doing it all manually
- A plan with real support behind it, not a strategy you're left to implement alone
That's where I come in: 24 years running marketing and communications systems inside complex healthcare organizations, now applied to owner-operated businesses ready to grow past the point where the owner is the system.
Simple, focused, and built around your business
One goal, sized to your business. Most engagements run 90 days. More complex businesses may need a bit longer.
Diagnose.
Start further back than the symptom. Before anything gets built, we get clear on what you're actually trying to solve, and what's been quietly costing you along the way.
Plan.
A prioritized roadmap, built specifically around your business. You'll know exactly what's getting fixed and in what order.
Build.
The systems, automations, and follow-up your plan calls for get built and running, not queued for someone else to implement later.
Measure.
A short check-in with real results. What moved, what didn't, and what's worth adjusting.

Growth Strategy Consultant20+ years spent making complicated institutional systems work for the people navigating them.
I spent 17 years inside healthcare systems, including nearly a decade at Kaiser Permanente Northwest, running marketing and communications for one of the most complex member-facing operations in the country. I led a team, managed budgets over $800K, and guided the organization through dozens of high-stakes marketing and communications challenges where the margin for error was essentially zero.
What I learned inside those systems is the same thing I see in owner-operated businesses today: the problem is rarely a lack of effort or ideas. It's that the information, the processes, and the marketing are organized around the person at the center rather than the business itself. The fix was never more information. It was better organized information.
Today I run Heitz Consulting, an advisory practice built around focused engagements. We diagnose what's actually broken, build a plan the business can execute, and, if it makes sense, set up the automation to carry it out. Clients get a strategy, plus the support to actually run it.
My background spans integrated campaign strategy, audience segmentation, marketing automation, crisis communications, digital strategy, change management, and executive advising across healthcare, B2C and B2B. I've presented at national healthcare conferences, served on nonprofit boards, and built programs that were adopted from regional pilots into national standards.
